What are affirmations?
Affirmations are statements that affirm something as true in the present moment. To affirm is to state that something is true now. Affirmations can truly be a powerful way to bring about something positive in your life. If you've never worked with affirmations this may seem a bit strange, however there is a fair amount of neuroscience behind the use of them for positive change. In fact, MRI evidence suggests that certain neural pathways in the brain are increased when people practice self-affirmation tasks.

Creating Your Own Affirmations
Forming your own affirmations can enhance the manifestation of what you'd like to create more of in your life right now. Affirmations invite into your life that which you desire to create. They help you become more in line with your intentions.
To begin, think about what your intentions are. What would you like to bring more of into your life? Below are some sample affirmations to give you some ideas on how to formulate them for yourself. Always put your affirmation in the present tense. You want to state it as true now, and not as something that will be in the future.

Guided Practices
For this guided practice, have an affirmation statement you're working with either memorized or posted in front of you so you'll be able to refer to it.
